( 1 )When the original casting is made from the custom process, A mold can be made.  (2) The Gold ring before it is set is put into a frame packed with rubber, put into a machine and put under high pressure and high temperature,
(3) When it cools off, the gold ring is cut out and an empty cavity in the form of the ring is left, Liquid wax is then injected into the cavity to create a near exact duplicate. (4)  The model is then put into a high temperature plaster, heated at extreme temperatures in a kiln, and fired overnight, Evaporating the model, Melted Gold is then injected into the cavity.
The problem is some stores, Who don't have the talent to make custom jewelry from scratch, will try to save time and money by forcing  a mold work. They will set in Diamonds that are either too big or too small, this is not good. This can result in channel walls ending up too thin, Or prongs too thin or too small, Resulting in loss of Diamonds, Or the Culets of the Diamonds poking threw the bottom and scraping your Finger, Sizing the ring too big or too small may cause  the ring to warp. Putting in heads that are not made for the ring may make the ring look like something just isn't right. So when you get your finished ring look it over carefully.
If done properly, The finished product can turn out as beautiful as the original custom made ring. This is a very quick run down of a much more complex process, Meant to spare you the boring details, Please any questions feel free to call.
